Bring Rope!!
Hemp, nylon, cotton. Bring whatever you have. One thing I believe in is using whatever kind of rope you WANT to use. You just need to understand the characteristics of different kinds of rope. And I'll help to teach you that. If you enjoy tying with it, USE IT!!
If you want to buy your own ahead of time, this is what I suggest:
Get an inexpensive solid braid nylon rope from your local hardware store.
200 ft would be about the minimum for basic suspensions.
400 is better if you can afford it.
Personally, I like my sets of rope in lengths as follows:
10 ea. 30ft = 300ft
4 ea. 15ft = 60 ft
4 ea. 7 1/2 ft= 30 ft.

About 400 ft total
That amount allows me to do almost any suspension position I want.
Now if you are greedy like me and want to be able to do double suspension, my big sets are 600ft.
Other Equipment
A safety tool for quick release from bondage.
I like EMT shears myself - I don't trust myself with a knife in an emergency...lol
Others like seat belt cutters.
Some like knives
Use what you want... but know HOW to use it!
A suspension ring makes life easier. If you have one bring it.
